I stretch my arm and start to sing a song about love. Today I asking myself about the difference between loving and liking someone. I just keep wandering what love is really about. I many times feel comfort with a girl but it's just as if I like it's personality. For example, during the first time I went to college there is a girl that I like. I like when I was with her because she is talk-active but nothing more than that. Next is at my organization, this girl is different from another girls I've met before. She is kinda clumsy (I think). She is neither pessimist nor optimist person, just an ordinary girl which can make me smile just by look at her and everything that she do. Because of her unique way of thinking I want to know about her more so I start with a small chit chat which always not work. So when I got confused like this I decided to learn more about it.

I start my investigation on a poem but they gave me a different story and get me even more confused. Then I run to the manga I read, try to take place as main character and keep on going. I still wandering what love it is, you know it's just too sweet if you put the definition of love in manga to the real life. So I decide to go wandering on novel, I start to read Jomblo, recto verso and others but they also mention another kind of love. In Jomblo, I found that love is about change yourself and become adult in your character. In recto verso I found a lot kind of love, love to your friend, love to your child, love something that you couldn't reach and more kind of love is mention there.

After a while I start to read another manga which titled girlfriend. This manga tell me about the reason of sexual activity in the writer thought but since there's nothing detail about it I decide to continue reading. The writer (or should I call it creator?) wrote about many free story which lead to uncertain moment such as the girl that require an approval as girl ask her friend have sex with her but their relationship is not clear whether they are couple or not. This is more about love rather than sex I think, because the writer is detailing on each character feeling. But still, I am no satisfied with the answer. It's just... you know the story is leading to love but there is nothing clear about the definition itself. The other book I read to know the definition of love is KBBI, as you know it's a big book contains many word in Indonesia and translated to Indonesia which give you a definition about the word you were searching. It is said that love is about sacrificing and protecting the one you love so nothing hurt it.

In many song I've heard love is about giving not taking. It's also mention acceptance and the will to change yourself into better individual. Someone told me, the guy was fool because he try to become a wine when girl he like is waiting for a cup of water. I didn't find it wrong if you compare to KBBI version of love. In this chase, the guy try to get the girl attention by becoming what she is like. In the other hand it is wrong because if he do that he is lying to himself and the girl just love the one he pretend to be, not the real him.

Then I search on psychology, it is said that there is a different kind of love such as agape, philia, eros and other kind of love. It's also said that the perfect love is agape. This answer is not satisfying too because it's just said it as example not definition. Then I walk around and start to thinking what love is. Truthfully, I've been wandering about this long time ago but I decide to leave it be until a girl asking what is the difference between liking and loving someone. It's give me a nostalgic feeling so I decided to find it. Then I remind the book that my friend gave to me, he say I have to read it. As I remember that book, I start to find the meaning of love once more. After a while I find this kind of answer:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
